It explains how to lay out a garden, shares the secrets of growing apples, pears, grapes, other fruit trees and berry bushes, and offers a school of natural farming without chemicals, as well as advice on greenhouses and raised beds. It also covers protecting crops from pests and diseases, harvesting and storing produce, recipes using it, garden design, a home farm and beekeeping. The publisher is Toloka Publishing House. Несколько лет назад на местном рынке мы приобрели привитый саженец груши старинного французского сорта Бере Боск. Продавец, расхваливая растение, уверял, что мы не прогадаем с покупкой. Деревце оказалось скороплодным. Но после первого урожая стало ясно, что нашу «француженку» зовут иначе — Деканка дю Комис.
